Analog Power Cable with a filter for suppressing circuit high-frequency RF interferences. This circuit cable is made of pure silver. Current conductors are as follows:line and neutral – a twisted round wire 13 AWG, ground (GND) – a twisted round wire 11 AWG.The selection of a wire with a round cross section for this power cable is based on the necessity to suppress high-frequency interferences generated in an electric circuit.One approach to increasing the external surface area of a conductor is to use a ribbon wire for interconnects. This improves the transmission of high-frequency signals and, as the result, stabilizes the phase relationship among the individual components of the spectrum of a sound signal in the complete frequency range. This, in turn, improves such important parameters of the resultant signal as transparency, softness, depth and air extension. However, the requirements for a power cable for applications in high-quality audio equipment are different. In this case, the transmission of high-frequency signals (for a power cable, these are circuitry, RF and EMI interferences) dramatically reduces the sound quality and must be minimized. Therefore, any cross section, other than the round one, of a current-carrying conductor (at fixed AWG) leads to the increase of the external surface area and, consequently, permits the transmission of undesirable high-frequency signals.This ultimately produces a very detrimental effect on the quality of the resultant sound signal.Hi-Fi equipment, regardless of its quality, is not capable of completely suppressing the distortion caused by the AC power source. In addition to the above-described advantage, xMatrix Power Cord is equipped with a built-in filter for supplemental suppression of circuitry high frequency and RF interferences, as well as two-stage external RF and EMI filters. For a complete electrical synchronization with a central conductor, input and output contacts of cable connectors are plated with rhodium over the silver substrate.
